Moroccan Vision
"A visitor arrives from Morocco and tells me a curious story about how certain desert tribes percieve original sin.
Eve was walking in the Garden of Eden when the serpent slithered over to her.
'Eat this apple,' said the serpent.
Eve, who had been properly instructed by God, refused.
'Eat this apple,' insisted the serpent. 'You need to look more beautiful for your man.'
No, I don't,' repliad Eve. "he has no other woman but me,'
The serpent laughed.
'Of course he has,'
And when Eve did not believe him, he led her up to a well on top of a hill.
'She's in that cave. Adam hid her in there.'
Eve leaned over and, reflected in the water of the well, she saw a lovely woman. She immediately ate the apple the serpent was holding out to her.
According to this same Moroccan tribe, a return to paradise is guaranteed to anyone who recognizes his or her reflection in the water and feels no fear. "
- Paulo Coelo "Like the Flowing River"
How many people we see are only full of fear and unsecurity because of their on way of interpreting things, the way they percieve matters. It is up to us whether to think of a pool as a place where many people drown and die, or a warm place to let go of your worries..swim, relax and escape from the disturbances of the real world. It is up to us to judge a cheeta as one of the most fierce animals in the wild, or as a creature that god has blessed us with to enjoy the beauty of its movements as it races the wind, leaps and lands as smooth as one could imagine, adds an artistic touch in the most beautiful painting of the world.. nature, with that wonderful pattern of it. It is up to us to weep over a loss of a dear person, or realize that he was gone to make place for a newborn, for a new light that will brighten up our world, for a new sound of laughter.
We never tend to look at the sun directly, because that might hurt our eyes. We would rather look at the beautiful things that reflect the bright sunshine. The way we choose to look at things, the side of the box we choose to face up, either the white or black, when both colors are really on the same box, that will determine how optimistic towards life we are. It is better to die while still alive, than to live dead. Although many people go to work, study, eat and breath.. they have no soul in them.. because they have already killed it. They do everything like a sequenced machine, not stopping by the side of the road to look at the beauty of the path, that miracles of life that surrounds them..
"Live not only the length of your life.. but the width of it as well.."

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, and thats what we should look for and head to constantly in our life. We should look for positiveness and brightness and help make it happen, not sit on the same spot we've been sitting on since God knows how long and wait for happiness to come to us!
Luv,

so true .. and well said ..
words like these should be told to the people around you to make them wonder about everything but themselves .. to think about joy and self releif through other things than the sins that life might lure us into .. which is a great source of pleasure to some .. we have to discover our selfes first to discover what goes around us .. =) ..
great job sweeties =)
